Carbonio Intake

Today I decided to install some of the goodies that I bought for my car and now i'm stuck. I'm gonna install the intake but I don't know what to do with those two small pipes that was in the old intake. I think these things carry coolant but there are no holes in the Carbonio for them. Are these things important or can I just tie them somewhere and not have any problems?

You dont remove the rubber intake boot. you attach the carbonio intake piece to the mass air flow sensor, and the thing should go down into the brake duct area. (be prepared to relocate the horn)

Adam, i'm not sure how to describe it but it's two hoses that were plugged into my old short intake. My old intake pipe had holes for them but the Carbonio pipe doesn't. I'm not sure what they do but they have coolant in them.

There should only be 1 hole, for the temperature sensor (looks like a couple hoses with a brass/gold sensor at the tip).. You can leave it dangling, or tie it off somewhere, it's not needed.

If you're talking about the hoses that connect to this part:

you dont remove that boot, it stays in place.

There's nothing that looks like that on my car. I'll try to get a pic so you can see what i'm talking about.

Ok, I'll try once more to perhaps guess..

Does your existing intake have a sensor hole like this one, and the carbonio doesn't?

..You dont need to put the sensor inside the carbonio intake like on your old one. Just tie it off somewhere....
When I was making my own intake, i never drilled a hole for the sensor and it worked fine.

Ok I just looked again and you're right it's the temp sensor. I wasn't even thinking but the first pic you posted that thing is so far up I wasn't even looking at that. Thanks for the tip now I can go finish the install.

sweet, I figured that's what you might have been talking about. The new intake should sound pretty nice from what I heard at bimmercruise

Well finished up the install and thought i'd post a pic. This intake looks so clean (wish I could say the same for my engine bay) and sounds amazing at high rpm. I had to test it out in my area even though I don't have any bumpers on my car

The only problem I can see with this intake is after I put my ellipsoids in there is nooo room between the lights and the intake. When it comes time to clean the filter I don't know what i'm gonna do.
