You have many good choices in this category. They are:
Acura MDX

Cadillac XLR
Infiniti FX

I was also thinking the MDX..but wasn't sure..

Cadillac XLR-----haven't seen this or know the price
Infiniti FX---have yet to see ONE used fx35
Lexus RX---in consideration
Lincoln Aviator--i don't like ford products no offense
Mercedes-Benz M-class--i've heard pure horror stories when it comes to the M class
Volkswagen Toureg--too expensive
Volvo XC90

i can only speak from experince in a 4.4 x5 with sports kit, but they are nearly exactly the same as the 3.0lt (bar the obvious ) and i was and still am amzed how it drives for a 4x4...trully amazing for a 2.5 ton vehicle.
BUT, i must say i would highly recomend the forrester xt over the 3.0lt

I donno if anyone mentioned this to you or not... But do you KNOW what a V6 is, and what an INLINE 6 is?

X5 3.0's are INLINE 6 not V6...

My pops has a 4.4i X5 2001 and i think its one of the best SUVs i ever drove, when you drive it you actually forget that its a SUV cause it handles and pulls like a sports car.Someone mentioned the aviator,im probably gonna get flamed but i like that SUV alot,it has alot of style.

Winter Time

The X5 is a sweet ride...
We had one of the first in Canada...
She had a few bugs but i think they have been worked out by now...
The only thing was that going from a Grand Cherokee to the X5...the X5 sure didn't handle well in deep snow...
haha i overheard this guy talking about how he couldn't wait to take his X5 out in the snow....i couldn't help but laugh....

I can't tell you how many times i had that thing stuck!! but im sure with winter tires rather than all seasons...it would be better....

Your thoughts?
