Elemental Design Sub
I just ordered an 8" Elemental design sub (e8a4.4) today from
Genuine Canadian Audio
They are really good people top deal with. They answered all my email promptly. They are currently having a sale on the elemental 8" sub.
Here are the specs to build a nice ported box for it.
sealed:

why not just buy a larger sub so you don't have to build that huge box to get 30 hz out of a 8"

I hate tight bass ! I love to get pounded by bass.
I tried a kicker 10L7 in a sealed and ported box in my crx.
There is no comparison. Even the audio shop said the ported box is 100x better !
In Sealed, you need XXXX more amount of power to get the same performance out of a sub, than a ported enclosure.

Are you sure the box was built correctly? Could the components have been off or of a lower calibre? A correctly built ported box + a good sub should provide better punch than a sealed enclosure.

You must be a member to order that sub from them. They are the only distributors for ED in Canada.
Elemental Designs are located in IOWA.

no offence dude.. but i really don't get it.. what's so special about this sub? you can buy a nice 8 or 10" local that should sound just as good as this one?
plus the flat cone.. or should i say umm flat diaphram cause it's not a cone. has less surface area, so it's more like a 7" speaker your buying there

Do your research sir.... that's all I will say..
I like to have exclusive, hard to get things... lol
No really, ED subs are some of the best sounding subs out there right now.
