E30 stalling out

I own a 1988 325 is, every time I turn it on in the morning it revs down to a stall. I have to keep my foot on the gas and keep giving it till it can finally idle itself. However once its able to idle the car shakes like a bitch. As the car warms up the shaking gets a little better but every time the car is at a stop it revs down below 500 rpm and shakes but doesnt stall. Now Ive cahnged my fuel pump (died on me) i have brand new ignition wires cap and rotor.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

change your spark plugs...and check your air filter, also check for vacuum leaks in the hoses.

i changed my plugs (do that first) and it made a HUGE difference even with the cheap champion plugs lol

then i swapped to a KN air filter but i dont feel a difference, but it does make one.

i changed my plugs recently (3 months back)
... i looked at my air box I noticed a leak in the rubber boot
near the throttle body I tried taking it off but i ended up ripping it even more.... now the car starts and shuts off
looks like im in for a custom intake project

Goran: also check out your ICV(idle control valve) to see if its clean and check for vacuum hoses for cracks, especially the one that goes to the ICV.
