LED M3 Mirrors or Plain?
Hi all.
I want to get your opinions on what mirrors to get. I have to replace my mirrors soon and I was wondering whether I should get the regular ///M mirrors or the newer ones with the LED's in them. I figure since I do not have sidemarkers, this could be cool.
What do you all think?

I've seen some of those LED mirrors, and IMO, they look reaaally cheezy, well, the ones I've seen at least.

Overkill I think!
I think adding the LED to the mirror as well is a bit overkill considering you already have sidemarkers, I assume. The Mercedes have them becuase the S-Class doesn't have sidemarkers so they put it on the mirrors! Otherwise, when you put your indicator on, you may light up like a christmas tree with all the blinking lights!
Ciao

Thats like me too,
I do not have side markers on my car and I do not want to be drilling my car either. That's why I thought of these mirrors. I bought a set w/out them - they were Ractive. I took them back because they were nice but all made of cheap plastic. And when I took one out, the motor was dangling in it.
*still looking for decent m3 mirror replicas....*

They were ractive powered mirrors?
i didn't know they had any
I'm still thinking of buying the $75 mirrors i saw at pacific mall and gutting my stock mirrors to put the motors and everything in the replica one. I've talked with a few people who have done it and they said it works fine.

Let me know how that turns out. I had a set of powered Ractive Carbon Fibers 2 weeks ago. I installed one and then opened the box to get the second one out assuming that all was fine - only to realize that the motor had fallen out and was dangling.
In my opinion, save some cash and get something a little better in quality. Anyone have any ideas on what is the next step up in terms of mirrors?

i think the next step up would be to spend the $300 on real m3 mirrors. and that's if you get a good deal on them

Where can you find them for 300.00? If I could find them for that much, I would take them in a second.

OEM M3 Mirrors for a 2door BMW
OEM M3 Mirrors for a 4door BMW
He's always advertising them, he's got lots of them too.
