The E46 M3 is less rare then the E30 M3. I see them all the time. What pisses me off is that half the people that drive them have no sense of what they have. They do not know the history of the M3.

I'm not a big fan of the E46 M3 either but I'd choose the E46 over the E30/36's. More power, newer. tho some e30/36's are really sweet.

Image is very important for owning a car. If not, we all should be friends with ricers.

I'd choose Z06 over E46 - for rareness, power and handling.

E46 M3 is Nice but NOT rare. It's a known fact.

The E46 M3 is absolutely amazing. Doesn't matter how many you see on the road in a day, it owns everything else around it. Period.

What pisses me the most is that 99% of E30 M3 owners think they own a real BMW, a real M and a real race car.

Newsflash, they are better BMW out there.

another NEWSFLASH, BMW cares less what you think.
Their sales going up, they are making more money.

Why there is more E46 m3 than E36 m3 and e36 m3 more than e30 m3?

Well lets see.
1. Car is out of production for 13 years
2. MRSP on the new 1991 M3 was 35,900USD, 1999 M3 was 39700USD. In 1991 35k was a lot more than 39k in 1999
3. E30 M3 was a first M3, not a lot of people were willing to pay that kind of money for all new car. (same thing happened to Z8)
4. There is a lot more drivers.

Id pick E36 over E30, and E46 over E36.
Why? Cause in overall, newer it better in this case.

P.S. M3 owns STI. Handling and acceleration. Bang for the buck? STI owns M3.

like i said..stock for stock...E46 owns E36, E36 owns E30...

but if it came to modding..give me an E30 M3 chassis.

normal E30 chassis for 325iS weighs 2700lbs

normal E46 M3 chassis weighs 3400lbs

if u take the 3.2L EVO motor and drop it with the 6spd tranny and diff into the E30..it will have no problems handing the E46's ass on a plater

Even the 3.2L US spec motor with 5spd tranny/diff...dropped into E30 chassis, with headwork and custom ECU is about 275hp at the crank..that will smoke E46 M3

NO, it doesnt

Z06 owns M3 in any way possible, except interior.
