Will a DINAN intake from a 95 M3 fit my 98 2.5L?
Okay, I have a chance to pick up a Dinan carbon fiber cold air intake for my car for cheap. It is from a 95 M3. My question to you guys is, will it fit my car? I have a 98 (OBD II) 2.5L and the intake is from a 95 (OBD I) 3.0L. I just want to make sure it fits before I buy it. Any and all help is appreciated! Cheers,
Brad

Can anyone confirm this? I have to be positive, because I am buying it today (if I buy it) or tomorrow!

There is no problem all the inline 6's use the same intake whether it is OBD-I or OBD-II
Cheers

hey brad
the 95 intakes although are speced out for all inline sixes... i think it has some form of indent or hole for a sensor or something. I remember checking this aspect out. Dont quote me entirely though. I wanted to know because i was curious if a 95 CAI would fit on my 97 M3

Well, I just got off the phone with Dinan. I called head office in Cali, and Cross Ave. Auto and they both said no way will it fit. Man I do NOT want to spend $730 on a fricking intake, but I can't for the life of me find a used one..........errrrr

Jeremy: he wants $300USD shipped........I can send you his e-mail if you like
M_Powered: I had a carbonio intake and it was AWESOME, but Dinan will NOT upgrade my software without a Dinan one, and not one single company makes software for my car other then Dinan, so I have to get one.........ah well, no biggie really just didn't wanna spend an extra 300 on an intake
