Chip review!
After reading Jay's review on the chip he got from Mark D, I decided to save up and get one for myself (as you may have seen on the main page in the group buy post). Picked it up this morning, installed it later on in the day, it was really simple even for clumsy me..then took it out for a test-drive. nothin but s on my face.. haven't done any number comparisons yet like 0-100 or anything but I definately feel the difference
anyone else who's considering it I definately say go for it, especially for the price, can't go wrong

I assume your DME is 0 261 200 175 ?
I made a chip for that a long time ago (1996) , but want to upgrade it to incorporate what I have learned in the last few years. I'm in the process of doing that now. I hope to finish it in about a month, I just don't have anyone close by who can test changes for me. This chip was never a big seller so I didn't spend much time developing it further, but recently people are asking for it.

Do you have the chip for the E36 318ti???
I have actually emailed you in regards to this.
Anyway, my DME is 0 261 203 590..
Let me know if you have a chip for this DME...
FYI, I have an E30 with the M42 engine from the E36 318ti...

Okay, that sounds good! Now does it require premium fuel? Not that it matters I only use premium anyway..........And also, I have a cold air intake and cat back exhaust, any tuning required?????
I am guessing this is a DIY installation?
Thanks Mark
Jay

You wil require 91 octane. The chip will work with the mods you have with no tuning. It's about a 45 minute job to remove the DME from the glove box, open, install chip, close and remount in glove box. It could take 1 hour the first time and 30 minutes after that.

All my contact info is on the CONTACT page of my site.
Yes you could come later this week.
The chip makes a great difference in the ETA. And mine is much better than the one from CA. (don't know about how it compares with the J.C.)

Someone in CA just tried it and likes mine better.
The difference is quite noticeable.
