Thumbs up made a Teg owner frustrated

hehe, heres the story

I just had my car back friday, so I was was riding around trying my new chip when a ~90 coupe Integra (couldn't see wich model) past me. The guy's car was slammed down(and I mean really slammed, it was making freakin sparkles ), had a huuuge exhaust, plus one piece headlight.... dunno for the rest.

So I speed up to catch with him, get by his side. Get in 4th, he was in 4th too I guess. Then we go, think he downshifted in 3rd since his high reving engine prolly can take higher rpms than mine. So he take about 1/2 to 1 car lenght on me, we go up to 150.

Second time, im in 4th again, he prolly downshift in 3rd, take the same distance again, but at 160 I start to dangerousely get back on him, and past by him like a freakin airplane at 180 (he was still pushin for sure) and went up to 200 he was maybe 3-4 cars behind .

The guy got to my side, gave me a " " look and got away fast between the cars we were getting to...

hahaha, tought it was a nice kill for my recently tuned up e30

stay tuned for more

cya

hmmm, u shouldhave taken him from the beginning. now ive never driven a 318, but i have driven my buddy;s auto acura Gs, and that thing is quite gutless. it has some pull, but ONLY when ur really pushing it. now im pretty sure that if u had down shifted into 3rd, u would have over taken him too.

I could'nt have downshifted in 3rd since I was around 4000 rpms and would've hit the cut-off hard. Plus the teg wasn't auto.... so it has more gut than your friend's.

Well, just checked out the specs and your right. Technically I should've been in front from the beginning, but consider they are lighter...
90-91 GS,LS,RS: 130hp, 121 lb/ft
92-93 GS,LS,RS : 140hp, 126 lb/ft

I will have to dyno my car cuz the guy who sold me the chip said I should gain 16-18hp, lb/ft from the mod. so that'll do at least 150hp and 147 lb/ft. I don't think I'm to that level

waiting for other opinions

nice, all the pre 94 integras have 1 piece headlights..not the circle ones.

nice kill...i can understand why u would take him after that speed...my cousins GSR civic with a type-r tranny is SO gutless in the middle of 4th like u wouldnt beleive...plus honda trannies are short geared and their aerodynamics kinda suck.

But, the 318 is pretty gut less as well. I’ve driven and owned both the Teg and the 318.

Both were stock though, so your tuned car might be different.

I never met a Honda I couldn't beat in street race (means nothing, right Tony?). Even a Sunday morning encounter with a Civic with Teg motor and NOS dry system (or so he said after) fell behind the mighty coupe. It's all about how willing you are to blow your motor.

Smoke'm if you got 'em

for you guys that think hondas are slow your crazy. i have had hondas and they can move. My brother has a civic hatchback with a 2.2 vtec in it (H22) and when i drive it i feed it to bmws all day long highway street. once on the way to wasga me in my brothers car and my friend in his civic with the same motor in a coup. we gave it to an m coup all the way to wasge.

just do the math light weight + high reving motors WITH GOOD HP LIKE 160 180 200 in a car the is half the size and weight = a fast car. It has all the main componets that make up a great race car
