Considering 422 ci stroker, w/ Stage 2 H/C, from ARE.
Theyre located in Pickering.
With the optional forged bottom end, so I can get silly with FI in the future.....

Still debating though, if I should hold on tight till the new M3/4, or the C6 Z06.
Looks like BMWs going to finally bite the bullet and place a V8 in the next gen M3.
Dont want to spend all that money on the Z if Im going to flip her soon.

Decisions, decisions......

TONY!
Another thing to consider is that we know for sure the M3/4 won't be here till at LEAST 06, which is still a year and a half away from a deposit on one for delivery in, at best early 2006. So still lots of time to MOD the Z!

Also, can we make our race this thursday night?
Jon is coming up with the video cam to show us some old footage @ my friends house, also to make a few new videos, so Thursday night would be ideal if it doesn't rain.
I will PM you my cell # also.

All I have to say is we made M3 owners very happy! Once both cars (STi and E46 M3) are moving, the M3 takes that thing without any problems.. we started from about 70 km/h and went over 2xx, the m3 just disposes of the STi.. either that or not one of them knew how to drive their cars..
The S2000 was pretty quick as well and sounded AMAZING, the guy was w/ his g/f and still tried racing us, but that didn't last long.
One of the normal WRX's put up a better challenge than any STi there!! it pulled hard, but we still beat it...
We found a Silver Z06 on chromes on the way home and got smoked though haha
Any subaru message boards around here where I can see if any of the STi drivers say anything about what happened? I wanna hear there take on the beating!!

Just dont race any Subaru in the wet/snow! I love bimmers but the traction of 4WD is just something else...

Yes they are great in bad weather, but all things being equal, the STi should stay neck and neck with the M3.
But Dan's shown it obviously doesn't.
Dan's wasn't racing some person who just bought an Sti for daily transportation. People in auto clubs more often than not can drive, and have raced frequently. So I wouldn't just blow off the thrashing the STi took in the hands of an M3, to bad driving.

Only thing I can come up with is the extra drag the 4WD system places on the drive train. There must be a startling amount of parasitic power lost to it.
Id really like to see what an Sti dynos at.......

That explains it.
Jeez, that's approx. 30% of it's power lost through the power train.....

M3 dyno's at 270ish to the rear, and is rated at 333.
That's less than 20% power loss.

Guess that's why the STi at high speeds can't keep up with the M.
Too much power loss to the power train, and on a highway run where traction isn't a critical factor as much as HP is, the STi's not in it's element.......
