Well, it's 1am and I just got back from some quality street races. For those that aren't familiar with the west end, every Wed night there's a HUGE hang out in the Coffee Time parking lot on Dundas, 1 block W of Winston Churchill (Home Depot parking lot too)
My friend Gary F. (some may remember him with the white '87 325is with the supercharged M50B25 conversion?) got together his "Woodbridge crew" which consisted of plenty of power....
4 Corvette C5 (2 with 150+ NOS)
2 Corvette ZR-1 (1 with 475HP)
1 supercharged Mustang GT
1 340HP Audi S4
Gary's 300+HP Supercharged M50B32 E30 (9 psi)
.... and KING VETTE (if anyone knows)
Well, these guys really wanted to race tonight and before we knew what happened they picked a race with this 20yr old kid's (Rob- WEB BIZ) Viper GTS (exhaust, 250HP shot of Nitrous)... The bottle wasn't in the car and the ground was too cold anyways for that kind of shot...
I chose the spot and we all went there. There must have been at least 50 cars there (and No police all night!

*drunk*) To get things started, I raced a few cars....
IN MY HONDA CIVIC WAGON
.....briefly with a late eighties Mustang GT (I started pulling away in 3rd gear).... Once with Gary's blown E30 (lost the hole shot due to tire spin, but stayed at his rear bumper all the way till 4th gear!-- pretty much dead even)... and once to my friend's GSR Civic HB (lost the hole shot again, but caught up and passed him in 4th gear).
I definately need different rubber (the snow tires just don't cut-it!)... next week i'm buying slicks.
Next were the big dogs... 2 C5 Vettes pulled up to the line and were pretty even, but the red coupe pulled about 1 car length on the yellow cabrio. Then the same red coupe lined up with the Vapor. Both spun out of the hole, spun 2nd AND 3rd gears... it was hard to see, but apparently the Vapor won by 1.5 car-lengths despite his 0.5 car-length deficit from the bad launch. The Viper was loud as hell with the straight exhaust (no cats). Some more cars ran, but after about 1 hour total, eveyone went back to Coffee Time before the cops came. It was an awsome night and I wish I had a video camera.
