wiring up power seats in non-powered seat car

the new seats I got are powered, my car never came with this option. Just wondering if anybody did this conversion and whats involved?

im assuming its just a power +12v and a negative?? what could possibly be involved

thats what I've been told. I'll just have to wait till spring and find out. The funny thing is that when I removed the old non-powered/non-heated seats out there were wires attached to the bottom. Just wondering what it could be since those seats don't need any power. Maybe prewired for heated seats

I wondered the same thing. On my e30 there is one wire underneath the seat, and it's for the seatbelt warning light thingy. Maybe the same on the e36?

prolly for the heated seats..all bmw's are pre wired..
