Lets talk DIGICAMS!!!

I want to purchase a digital camera, anyone know of anything good? I want to get the Sony F-707, and was wondering if any board member knows anything about it? and post some samples! Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Whiskey

I have Canon S30, I don't like Sony product since there memory stick is very expensive to get and they are the only company who makes it! Buy a DIGICAMS with flash card or something so u can use it toward other device!

I got Canon S300, I'm not always happy with it. It really sucks at night.

my vote goes to the Canon G2, best entry level professional digicam IMO.... so many functions to play with... u can also add lens and stuff
esp. loving the ISO 50 setting

It all depends on how much you want to spend.

but check

FUJI Finepix 6900z

and the upcoming FUJI Finepix S602.

These are really great cameras

I've got the Nikon CoolPix 990.... voted best digicam for 3 year running!... that's gotta mean something. The newer version is the CoolPix 995.... Nothing's better out there.

Here's a hand held medium res pic I took...

I'll agree with randy
i have a nikon 990, and my father bought the 995
we both agree (And my father used to be a professional photographer for the mckenzie indy car team) it's the best digi cam we've ever used.

just look at randy's pic!

I got a olympus D-520 Zoom. I just recently got it and it works really good. Not, the best camera out there i bet, but it takes good pics, so its better then nothing.

Yea get Canon or Minolta, they last FOREVER!!! either one will be my next... i like their professional look...

I currently own the Sony P1, 3.3megapixel... but I'm tired of it after 2 years... battery failure all the time (esp when it's cold). The memory stick is great tho, since I always upload the pics to my computer, so a small capacity one is good enough.

I just got the Sony Cybershot 4.0 megapixel. I love it, I can even do video clips with sound. I got it for christmas from my parents, and its pretty damn sweet. I took pics of a 442 that I posted in the RIDES section with it, and that was only on 1600x1200. I can go up to 2272x1704, but what is the point????
