Any reason not to use spacers on stock wheels?

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use my 10mm hubcentric spacers on stock wheels for my E30?

Any adversities?

Where did you get the spacers, Ive been looking for a pair.
If there is no contact and you use longer bolts I dont see why not.

mystikal i put my 25mm spacers in the rear just for laughs with my basket weaves, they looked amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya actually, there no downside really, it does give you better handling (wider wheel stance, even though its hardly noticeble!)
I think i'm gonna need spacers for my stock wheels if my coilover sleeves get in the way!

Can't adding spacers (especially large ones) increase, or speed up the wear on the suspension components? Like bushings, balljoints and such.

I always thought spacers was a yes or no thing, period. If you don't need them, don't put them on. If you get really cheesy spacers you'll get vibrations, since they might not sit dead in the middle.

But spacers make your car look better also by pushing the wheels out. Also, you don't get vibration with hubcentric spacers because the weight of the wheel lies on the hub of the spacer.

Very true, you will get little or no vibration with hubcentric spacers. They make your car look good, but they also improve slightly your handling by creating a wider wheel base. If you are looking to get 20mm or wide spacers, I would highly recommend using a Type B spacer, which fastens to your hub, then you use your stock wheel bolts to attach your wheels.

Just a piece of mind issue, instead of runing longer bolts. They work out to almost the same price.

What brand are you guys buying? H&R sells them for about $450 for a full set. 10mm and 30mm.

You'll find that with spacers the car will try to follow the cracks and bumps in the road. They are barely noticeable. I don't understand the purpose of this as they will put more stress on your wheel bolts.

Nelson is right though, it will wear suspension components much faster as well.

How does this make your car handle better? The wheels aren't wider and the turning radius is unchanged unless you only use the spaces in the front or rear and not on both.
