e36 springs on e30....

Hi guys,
I was wondering if e36 springs are going to fit on my e30?, since its seems that the guy i bought them from sold me e36 springs instead of e30's...

Im not sure,but i doubt it.I think the whole strut assembly is setup different.

(from dude where's my car) Even where the springs sit? Because I know struts wont fit (also bought the front struts

) but will the springs only?

here are the struts part number, maybe someone can tell from 'em what year it is(he told me 318is 1991, but thats obvious its not from an E30...)

I doubt they will fit and they most likely will just screw up your suspension geometry. Stick with stuff that is made for the e30. I wouldnt try to put them on imoh.

Sorry i cant help you much since im not a BMW tech,but if u think about it,since the strut wont fit then the springs wont fit on your e30 strut,you can try taking apart the strut assembly and comparing the springs (make sure you compress the spring or else shit can be fatal) to see.The strut assembly is what holds the shock absorber,the spring and the upper damper.

And about the part numbers,try going or calling a dealership.
