Yeah, the M3/modified 32x class is a hard one. You either need to be a kick ass driver, have R tires, or an e46 M3, any combination of the three. I wish I had the cash to plop down on a used set of track wheels with auto-x specific tires.

But its not even the M class that makes me look bad, its those DAMN SCHILLER BROTHERS!!!!!
hehehe, they're INCREDIBLE drivers, its amazing how they take such a lil car with not TOO much power (compared to the other cars) and they turn it into a car that'll destroy ANYTHING in that parking lot!

I think I'll be looking at other clubs' auto-x events next year. BMWCC autocross is a fun place to go and drive around cones but

a) packing lot is too small
b) the point system favours classes with a large number of cars, so unless you are in the bmw 6cyl(m) class it's pretty much useless (competition wise) to try hard and get good times. With classes that only get 1-2 cars one can have the slowest or fastest time of the day with the same result: 14 points. Attending for personal benifit and driver education is a different story.

Overall, it was a fun summer.

Serge, myself and Kevin (Straight_6) are planning on participating in other club autocross events next year aswell (esp. since i'm running the GT2). We'll get together and do some research and see which club looks the best for all our needs (i'll still be doing the BMWCC events too).
