How are you so sure

I am willing to bet that I would get a car and a half on him right of the start. The Wrx is in the low 5's 0-60.

btw SUPERCHARGED, you raced an eagle talon year 95 or 96 i belive and it was four wheel drive. YOU told me that the 0-60 to that car was what??? 7 something??? and yes it was turbo charged and he beat you 3 times with a difference of a car and you managed to get him1 or 2 times from the start line.

your 328is 0-60 is 6.2 sec so what happend??? how did he manage to even beat you once??? i always told you that its the driver that matters but you denied it every single time. YOU even told me the story of how he managed to get that believable boost which caused you to lose.

if that talon beat you, im pertty sure there isa strong chance of the STI beating the m3.

and about the e36 m3 i should say with its 0-60 at 5.5 aint much of a diff than the wrx 5.6. so you can't realy garantee that the e36 will win for sure UNLESS the driver makes a mistake.

no hard feelings supercharged, but i think you should take the admins tip and say it with me.....gooosefrabba....goooosefrabba... (to make you happy, this is TAKEN from the anger management movie)

The lowest 0-60 for the WRX I have ever seen was the one C&D had long-term. It clicked off a 5.4. The lowest E36 M3 I have even seen is the one R&T tested in February 1994 (yes, I remember these things) in a comparison with an AMG C36. That was 5.4, too.

The fact this, the Subie's main advantage is its traction. And unless you're dropping it from a high rpm, you're just not in that much need of traction. I mean, 236lb-ft and 245 width tires on the M3 means that it is not exactly what you'd call a tire-smoking monster. 5-60 times support this theory.

Since we are judging these two cars by magazine figures:

Car And Driver:

2003 M3
"With 1940 miles on it, we took the M3 to the test track and measured a 0-to-60 time of 4.5 seconds and a standing quarter-mile of 13.1 seconds at 107 mph. The electric-blue M3 also showed great grip, managing 0.87 g on the skidpad and stopping from 70 mph in 161 feet."

2003 Impreza WRX

"With 227 horsepower on tap from its 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four, the WRX can sprint turn for turn with such cars as the BMW 330i" (Not the M3)
"The quickest WRX we'd tested hit 60 mph in a stunning 5.4 seconds, whereas our new baby needed 5.9"

The two cars get tested by profesionals and the mags record the results. If you find that a bunch of dick info, then how will you support your argument?

The arguments are:

E46 M3 vs. WRX STi

E36 M3 vs. WRX

what are you mad???? lmfao, there is no doubt that the e46 m3 feeds dust to the wrx.But that wont happen with the wrx STI. try finding the numbers for the STI and do a repost.

STI runs low 13s stock...M3 runs low 13s stock depending on the car and driver...i say its a drivers race...WRX vs E36 M3 is the same story for 1/4mile...both low 14s..

The M3 will pull in the long run, but the STi has it owned in the low end.

I hate to bring this argument up, but you have to spend 10+ g on an M3 to get .5-1.0 second of the 1/4 mile time.

The STi will run a low 12 with a boost controller/intake/exhaust/downpipe/uppipe/eManage

I am more than likely getting rid of the Lightning for a white STi... more to come!

You guys should go and take just a regular Wrx out for a test drive.

I think you will be very impressed. The power is there. Then you guys might be a little less biased towards the subaru.

The stock Wrx has been known to crack the 14sec mark.

As for the STI, which I have been in the car first hand, has loads of power, not one bit of turbo lag. I think alot of you would be surprised with the amount of power the thing has.

For the STI weighing in at around 3250lbs, All Wheel Drive, the thing feels like it has more than 300Hp.
