first car
hello, im looking for a relativley fast, but easly insured older bmw for my first car.
ive been looking around, and have found many bmw's under 5 grand.
what do you guys suggest?

1989 - 1991 E30 325i or 325is

I recomend a 1990 or so 535i, it is fast and different then all the E36s you see. It will also be cheaper insurance wise.

How old are you bud? If you are under 25, it is going to cost you for even an e34 or e30 especially if you have tickets on your license......
That e34 looked nice, 147,000kms for $4995???? hmmmm, my e30 was mint, 1 owner (1986) and had 200,000kms and it was $4000 and I thought that was alright......
It looks like a young guy has owned it as well, which means it has probably had the pulp beaten out of it.......I would take it to someone and have it checked out......

first car, 16, believe it or not
these bmw's have hardcore insurance payments
sadly, a beater 300d benz looks better in my book

Oh yeah, insurance will be a killer for a bimmer at 16.......I see you live in the US, I would imagine insurance is high for teens though....

All depends, class of license, number of tickets and age and sex.......Basically if you are a male, under 25, class of license doesn't make much of a difference, and have a few tickets you can expect to pay a f*^% load.......I know I am
