Shipping Engine from Germany ???

the prices are found were to MUCH!! I talked to my uncle today, he can get me a EVO engine (the 321Hp one) with tranny for 2,500 plus whatever shipping would be from germany. '96 engine, 6spd with about 71K. It would have to be from germany as english cars are on the right hand side...He is going to let me know all the details in 2 weeks, i'll keep you guys posted

mkgino...FI is more complicated than you think...just switching to a euro engine isnt that bad, since there is a shop locally that specializes in european motors...plus, the euro engine will be STOCK..how is that more complicated than a whole turbo system?

Is there not a place somewhere in canada where you could just buy the engine and tranny? My buddy buys his Supra engines in Montreal. They are J-Spec engines with less then 50k on them.

For ex: 7Mgte $650
2Jz $4000 (ouch)

well there is some in the US currently, i can hook u up like i said..

anyways, the euro spec engine is higher maintance cost, and not just the engine, but other parts too...randy's dad's eurospec A/C or something went and he needed the compressor...$500 or something for non M, 700 for M3, 900 for his Euro M3! why? because they need to order a special one from europe..because the euro M3 has an oilcooler, so it gets in the way if u put a US spec M3 A/C compressor or w/e it was...doesnt matter wat it was, im just using it as an example so u know other parts around the engine and how it runs may be involved with higher price cost.

If you just want power, get US spec M3 motor..you can pick one up for maybe 4-5G now..compared to 10G roughly for the Eurospec..
