What are the stats on this car guys. HP Torque 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times. Do you think I stand a chance ??

Here's some specs
Model S80 T6
Layout Fwd Front-engined, Fwd
Engine Inline-6, dohc, 4v/cyl, twin-turbo.
Capacity 2783 c.c.
Power 272 hp
Torque 280 lbft
Transmission 4A 4-speed semi-auto
Suspensions F: strut / R: multi-link
Tyres 225 / 55 R16
Weight 1596 kg
Top speed 155 mph (claimed)
0-60 mph 6.7 sec*
0-100 mph17.8 sec*
It's a heavier car compared to the BMW.
Off the line, it could be close but once the speeds pick up, you can't argue with 272 hp/ 280lbft.

Yup, it all comes down to your driving, and if he power-brakes on launch or not. If he doesn't the time to get the turbos spooling will add .5 to his 0-60.

HAHAHA sure pal.
It should be fun. The 18 inch rims are off and now I have the snows on so that should help my acceleration a bit.

Snows??!!!
Watch out for lack of traction!!
I know that in the M5 on snows, forget about flooring the gas pedal because I get wheelspin in the first 3 gears.
I once 'raced' an Audi TT but because of lack of traction on the dry but cold pavement was killed in the lower gears.
Mind you once I got into 3rd at 7000rpm it was over for the Audi!

Nah, 206lb-ft isn't enough to overcome decent winter tires in the dry.

Understood but pal your comparing a M5 to a 328. HAHA that is no comparison what so ever. I do feel alot lighter through 1st 2nd and 3rd gear.

Yeah, those T5's are pretty fast, but their Turbo is too small. They can't really keep the power up. I can follow them without spraying. I loose a couple of car lengths at first but then it's like the T5 runs out of power and I start catching up again. I don't know why that is though, the Turbo thing is just a guess...

For sure pal. I have found my perfect launching technic and it usually works well. I have raced a Volve turbo before and I was catching him bit by bit when I was behind him. He told me he have 230.000km on his car and that it was losing compression. figures he would say something cuz he would have lost. HAHAHA
