I voted option #8. It'll be awsome on gas, and very cheap to maintain. It shouldn't be problematic if itz in good condition like it stated in the ad.

I say go for the 4 dr civic. I've got a 95 with 257,000 km and it still runs really well. The only thing i've had to change under the hood was the rad and the oil in the 8 years i've had the car.

If you just let me take you for a 5 min ride in my Subaru on a rainy day (or even better in the snow!) you wont EVER think of 2WD again!!! I would go for #1 without hesitating, not just from peronal experience but from a "few" other Subaru owners i know...My friend (VR6 Golf owner) borrowed my Loyal tonight (raining) and when he came back all he said was "thats it, i want one for the winter"...

How are they maintenance wise? do they fall apart? are parts hard to get or expensive?

Put it this way, i paid $550 for the car last December and the only things i have done to it in 40K is 2 CV boots and a rad (ran hot in the summer but never leaked). And i use the car for work and heavy towing (put a custom class 3, 5000lbs hitch ) and it has never let me down! Parts are expensive only if you go to the dealer, but if you shop arround its much cheaper.

My preference would be

1st. Option 8 (1 owner, 94)
2nd. Option 1
3rd. Option 6. (I've seen several 240SX hit 350+ KM on it.).

Don't worry about the rust. None of those cars seem to have any or much on it.

My 97 BMW had more rust than my Acura Integra. It all depends on how you take care of it.
