My insurance on... look inside
Hey guys since my M3 is either going to be sold for cheap or stored if luck is on my side. I called today for a quotation on the following cars.. These are 6 months no collition.
1989-92 Toyota Supra NA or Turbo - $819 for 6 months
1986-89 BMW 325i - $859 for 6 months (expensive i think?) e30 guys what do you pay for your insurance?
Hmm what do you think? Which one should I go for? I think, I would like to have a car that I would fix myself both cars I believe will let me do that except the 325 probably will be more expensive.

Supra, just because I like Supras more than BMWs.
However the MKIII had a couple issues, which I'm sure you know of, such as the head gasket and stuff.
They're also a bit heavy.
I would actually grab a 240sx, they're fun, RWD, 5 Spd, very reliable and light and cheap. Plus you can swap an SR20DET if you want power.
Is this gonna be your daily driver or weekend car or beater?

'20DETs into E30 is becoming a more and more popular swap.
But anyways, back on topic. Are you sure Turbo Supra's are the same price to insure? Weird. E30's still cost a lot to insure (the same as a 2003 Civic when I last checked) because of the horsepower and BMW name.

Ya i'm the primary for the e30. She told me that because I have a G and 25 I get my first break Heheh. As for the M, i'm hoping not to if the loan gets approved tomorrow. Otherwise we have to sign for a contract that requires me to sell the M But if that happens I get to pick another fun car exciting but sad since I have tons of happy moments with the M and it hasn't failed me yet.

e30 and supra will be my daily driver. but most likely will only see 20km per day to the go train station. I'm aware of the issues with the supra hopefully I can find one that isn't too busted.
COol I totally forgot about the 240 I was looking at them last year. Thanks for the tip!

My buddy pays 620 a year with tax on his 89 turbo supra and he's 23. But we are also in Quebec....so $310 for 6 months...
All I have to say is an 3.0l turbo has some serious balls....if you have the cash and mod it right you could be pumping out about 500 Rwhp with stock internals..without if you upgrade it's 816 Rwhp (cams, head etc...) Ruppinder Ubbi the President of the Toronto supra club has that...
You gotta love insurence companies....that's why I stayed away from a 325is.....

Both provinces have there ups and down's on ins....just look at our plates and the price of our licences.....it's re-tarded..
But a stock turbo supra is sweet...232hp 254 ft/lbs If it's in good shape it's awsome...
