Question Best Gas in Toronto?

I your opinion, who makes the best gas in Toronto?

For example, I've heard some people have problems with Shell gas because of the additrives they use.

Just wanted to hear which gas you prefer.

I tend to stick to Shell. I have heard lots of good things about it, and my car runs very smoothly on it.

Shell Gold gas is the best bar none. It runs cleaner, and smoother.

Esso gas is the dirtiest gas out there- I avoid it at all costs unless absolutely necessary. It is also the stinkiest.

Sunoco 94 doesn't run as clean or as smoothly as Shell Gold.

The only problem with Shell is that people say it messes with the fuel level sensor- I wouldn't really say it's the fault of the gas, it's more the fault of the sensor manufacturer- I still stick to Shell for the performance...and according to their ads, they are environmentally responsible now too...

Nope, you are all wrong. Sunoco has the best quality gas. Every place but Sunoco and Petro Canada have a history of adding additives to their gas.

Sunoco just because they offer 94. My car won't run on any less.

I always fill up with Esso for almost a year. I have no complaints.

The problem is that it is 99% psychological. Until someone dynos their car on each brand of gas and chemically analyzes them I won't believe a word I hear. It's all speculation.

That said, Octane is Octane. Numbers talk to me.

Sunoco is the better gas, but doesn't have good fuel economy, shell gas is by far the worse for european cars, it has the highest sulphur readings out of all the gas companies causing the the sensors in your car to malfunction, shell is only good in europe because they have different distilleries over there. In Toronto I would rate the gas companies like this Sunoco, Petro, Esso, Shell

I suppose you are right about that on Shell gas.

When I had the 328i back then, we always filled it up with Shell until one day the fuel sensor started going out of whack. Sometimes after filling up the car, it'd stay empty and after a while it'll shoot back to full, very strange. Other than that the car seemed to run fine always.

But I never had this problem with the Volvo, then again I suppose it's categorized as a Sweedish car and not European
