It's ok to put 318 on an M3 because it will surprise people, and good for a sleeper effect.

316 badge was the plan actually, when my bro went to europe I told him to get 316 badge, but he could only find E30 316 badge. So he got E36 318 badge for like 4 bucks.

It's not about lying.

M3 is a special car. You're disgracing the M3 by putting M3 badging on a 318.

Putting the 318 on an M3 isn't something I would do, but it's not as bad as badging a 318 as an M3.
