Question What would be the problem accosiated,...

Lets say your valve cover gasket, your spark plugs, your fuel filter was bad. What type of performance and problems could you expect with faulty items such as these...

The reason why i am asking is my car is like getting fixed up everywhere and the mechanic guy says my car needs a tune up

he is also quoteing 410$+tax to do the work. that seems way to steep. And i thing you can do the fuel filter by yourself right?

Bad plugs wil make your car idle poorly, lose power, eat gas, not start properly, etc...

Fuel filter will definitely cause lack of power, as your car cuts back iginition timing to compensate of lack of fuel. Under boosted applications, this can lead to a blown motor. Get that changed quickly, its a cheap part.

As for the valve cover gasket, get that resealed to avoid dirt and other things from getting under there!

i bought the fuel filter for my car from BMW for 40$ + tax, adn changed it with my dad! It takes literally 10 minutes, and unless you are ****ed in the head, you should be able to do it by yourself.
