replacing handbrake lever pls help...
hi, can anybody give me some advice ? I bought an ACS handbrake handle. So i wanted to install it yesterday but the original one doesn't come off, and it's not screwed or anything... I thought it was just pull or twist, but it doesn't work. How can i remove it ?

I think I read somewhere you have to "cut" it off. Don't quote me though. Maybe try a search on google, that's where I found some information before I think, as I was looking to buy a handle but never did.

Well you might be right i think it's glued. But i'm still not sure, my car goes to the dealer tomorrow to fix my door handle (AGAIN !!!!
 ) I will ask there then
ps: flamatron it really doesn't come off by pulling hard

It is glued, pull while twisting. It is VERY tight, but it will come off. Be careful not to hurt yourself when it releases.

Put on glove -> Pull & Twist -> Feel relieved when you slam your hand into the console or your chin and the glove softened the impact.

What the heck? Guy's it's not glued. Just yank it off. Almost everything on E36/E46's interior is clip-on or snap-on.

Due to you guys insisting that it should come off i tried again last night at 1 a.m. lol ! There's NO WAY it comes off, i even waked my parents because i used a hammer to try to knock it off, lol ! It so pisses me off. I'm still scared to break the whole thing so now i decided i'll just wait until tomorrow and ask the dealer. Anyway thanks for the advice.

i want to replace both shift knob and handbrake but they are on really tight

Yup, pull straight up. The best way for the shift knob is to put it in 4th and straddle the console, giving you much better leverage and a lower chance of knocking yourself out.
