IVAN, wtf??

Anyway, DTM power was great when they didn't charge for movie downloads and all that... I remember downloading tons of movies from their site, now they're gone from my hard drive...and Kazaa does not have them either...

I was not complaining cuz of the site the way it is. It is just too much to browse 5 bmw forums unless you got no life . I personaly ment showing off with theiR E36s and m3s . That was in fashion 92-93 back home at Yygoslavia when Marco Milosevic and his boys do testing through south EU.

The amazing part about Behmer's car is that it is completely custom. He did all the work himself designing the pannels, front, rear, etc. He used his knowledge of computer graphic design to make something unique, yet still a little tame. Still looks like a Bimmer.

I know all about Randy's car. I know it's Si blue from a Honda. And so what, the skirts are from a Honda? The car still looks like a BMW. It looks like BMW originally intended it too, with some visual additions that make it unique.

I'll put it this way. There are two kind of modifications you can make to a car's apperance.

The "Veilside" look - swoopy. Jagged edges. Grills. Oversized intakes. JDM.

The "Stock PLUS" look - Euro. Gentle lines. Performance appeal. Graceful.

I don't like the "Veilside" look. I think it's not as classy as most people. But like I said, I applaud T for a unique look, I just don't like it. But I feel I'm getting accosted just because I don't like it. In the same way T did on DTM because others didn't like his mods.

I dunno, what i meant about that statement is that on that forum, you see people that buy three series' and immeidiatly put it into the shop, throwing thousands of dollars at it. Kinda takes the point out of modding in some ppls eyes, i see it as getting a better car, but also it being a work in progress, something to work for, paycheck to paycheck. I hope to be rich someday myself, but you will not get a good response if you show off your stock 325 or whatever, because they would not appreciate that car until you have spent money on it. It is the same kinda thing that if you wear the right clothes, you are accepted into teh "cool" group. Here on max, you show ppl your car, and no madder how much money you may or may not have put into it, people will not look down their noses at it.

k good for u

u like the stock look

i dont... he wants something UNIQUE

NOT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE EVERYBODY ELSES

if u like the euro look good for u .. have a cookie

there's nothing wrong with the 'veilside' look.... just cause its not ur taste doesn't mean that its not classy

please explain to me what is classy? is ur ride classy? is randy's car classy?

He did not "design" the car himself... he just figured this bumper goes good with that lip which goes good with this back end.
He modified it. Thats what modding a car is all about.

DESIGN is when you completely create something from scratch. For an example of design go look at T's splitter or his fogs.

This is the problem. His look is not "veilside". His grill is integrated into the bumper (and since when is a GRILL considered "veilside" ) Please look at the post I put on DTMPower.net... look at a full seidl kit and you'll see it is no more audacious than an E46 Hamann kit... which happens to be DTM's feature car right now.

Dont take any attacks personally, I think T just posted a misleading pic of his car. If you saw the shut lines on his front bumper you'd appreciate the craftsmanship a bit more. But I guess only time will tell what look his car looks like in the end.
