When Did the seats belts change sides and why??
I was looking at the new 5 and i noticed that the seatbelts were on the outside instead of the inside
i thought bmws have seatbealts on the inside?? When did they change this and why i like it on the inside its madd german shit lol.

Not all of them have the backwards belt setup. Mine doesn't, and neither do E46's. BMW gave it up rather quickly.

THat is basically for 3 series Cabs. The rear seats have the seat belts on the inside so they do not flutter in the wind. My brother has a 04 330cab and his rears are still like that.

Just because im curious, i always thought german cars had different seat belt configurations, just like how the windowup and down is on the inside as well
