Red face my m10 turbo set-up ...........

well guys me and my dad have decided to go turbo on our 316 e30 we are going to use a mercedes turbo with a custom made exhaust manifold which i am currently making at this moment ill post up pics as soon as possible of the set-up

and your using L-Jetronic.. it won't work. You need to replace your ECU.

btw my 316 is carburator
so i got no engine ecu
the car will be converted the fuel injection using a 2002tii intake manifold and a engine fuel pump and i will not need a computer either ! i will get some pics as soon as somethings are done !

why? its not gonna make the car ridiculuosly fast...turbos dont make a car fast, if the car is like..not meant to go fast in the first place....suzuki swifts are turbo..but not like crazy fast even if u put a t03 on it..

jon dont worry man !

when its done it will be bomb i will have about 200hp
so im happy with that !
and jon your resolution to everything is a engine swap
the 1.6 is cheap on gas plus if it put a turbo on it , it will make me happy !

i know..im just saying...i jus saw u post "im putting a big ass turbo"...jus sounds like ur saying thing thing will be insanely fast...putting a big ass turbo on a 1.6..u will spool near redline unless its a hybrid..lol..

no jon the turbo is of a benzy i will be running 9-11 pounds off boost enought for the 200hp
with stock internals !
and no im not saying it will extremely fast !

that m10 used to make 1200 hp + in a Formula One setup. ... only lasted perhaps the qualifing session though.

Anyway.. sorry, didn't realise you don't have EFI, should be alright then !

I think 200 hp at the wheels may be a little optimistic though. How much boost are you going to make it eat.

How do you plan to get the oil supply out of curiosity?

yip + remember you need to lower the oil pressure to the turbo a lot. Below 25 psi.

i will be connecting the oil supply line to the oil pressure line switch and the return line to the oil pan .
