NO WAY you got a 2.8L M52 motor to spin to 8000 RPM. The stock 2.8L motor runs out of breath about 6200 RPM; I highly doubt you can get another 1800 RPM out of it.

You *might* get to 7,000 RPM with that motor, but not beyond it.

Just how did you know you're running 8,000 RPM with that car?

Pat

..I got M3 cluster, and my car pull out 210 RWHP with Mods..... I always go 8k RPM WITH MY 2.8 M52 Motor

Very true statement... got my 6 up to 240km and i was almost at top rpm, just had a little left... but had to slow down... other cars on the road at the time. But i could take my hands off and it would still go stright as an arrow... the only annoyance is the winshield wipers start shaking at about 200!

140 mph, 144 by my speedo. Extremely scary, and stupid on my part because the H-3 Freeway is somewhat windy(25-35mph cross winds) and wet from constant rain. Car still had more to go though. BTW, car is highly modded 89 325i.

Get some wiper "wings" to create downforce on your wipers

But seriously, you should go to an automotive shop, they should sell some of those spring clips that you can install on the wiper arms to press them down firmer to the windshield. They really do help a lot!

I'm thinking the same thing, I don't think it's possible to hit 8000rpm without solid lifters, some beefy valves springs/retainers, and a very blueprinted engine. Even then, I don't think the m52's can injest enough air at that rpm.
