did E36 bumpers come with clearcoat?
I'm just repainting my bumpers and side skirts and I've been told that E36's that had colour keyed bumpers did not have clear coat on the bumpers. Is this true?
I repainted it just with gloss black and I think it looks good. I hate playing around with clear coat. It's hard not to get that orange peel look. If it worked from the factory I'm going to leave out the clear coat.

Well actually it came out pretty good. If you see my car next time in person you can tell me if you think it looks crappy or not. If the paint gets dull I'll just pay a paint shop to clear coat it. Should be cheaper anyhow.
