FS: 2001 E46 M3 ENGINE with 17K!!!

Okay, so 2 of my friends have this engine, and I said why not post on here and see if anyone wants it. NO it's not stolen or anything like that, it's all legit. I don't have any details on the engine, I will have them tomorrow evening when I go home from school. All I know is the asking price is 13K and is negociable. I think that's a pretty sweet price for an E46 engine with 17K on it! Anyways I will post all the technical info etc. etc. tomorrow when I'm home. Hopefully get some pics too. Anyone interested??????? They can also install it as well for a cheap price (they are Bimmer mechanics). Thanks again,

Brad

I hope that is 13K CAN

I've seen those E46 M3 engines go as low as US 6,000 obviously with low miles, 13K is too much even if it's 13K CAN. They show up all the time on the turner classifieds for 7-9K.

That engine may be a walking time bomb. The '01 models had some serious problems. Hopefully this engine is clean.

You cant do anything with this engine when you buy it. You need a 30 page booklet just to change the cams on an E46 M3 engine. A few people have tried to cram this thing into an E36 before and have failed miserably. And for that price you can get an E36 M3 engine, and some nice forced induction, rather than an E46 unmoddable engine.

Talked to them tonight. It is an 01 engine, but has had all the updates (computer update, etc. etc.) done. They will take 10K for it.............hopefully have all the specs up tomorrow.

MK's right it will cost too much money to fit that thing into any car except a E46 M3
