Toronto 2002 owners meeting Pictures

Here is the link for pictures from the meeting / cruise yesterday. 3 M1s and racing CSL plus all those 2002s in one spot. Great drive from Bowmanville to Port Perry through back roads. Had a great time.

2002s for sale

Yeah, I posted the event but we had to restrict attendance to '02 or Coupe owners due to vintage nature of the event and space restrictions at the shop.

If you're looking for an '02 it seems to go in cycles. Right now there are two on the autotrader site. A '74 which looks O.K. and a beater '75 square tail light.

Another good source is the BMWCC. There are a couple of nice ones up for sale currently. This is how I found my car.

Couldn't believe it when I got out of my car and found 3 M1s sitting there. Considering there were only 450 made it's pretty amazing. There was also an Alpina 3.0 csl in the process of being restored which is my personal fav.

Round tail lights are nicest.
Mine is the Pastelblau second from the end. The red one is a '69 ti, twin carb from the factory, very rare.

I'm hoping to get some people out to Bimmercruise on Sunday but the turnout will likely be small. Maybe just me in fact. Most modern BMW owners have no appreciation for the Mobile Tradition so the other guys usually give meets like this a pass. I very rarely get a thumbs up from anyone driving newer BMW. Purchased for prestige without any understanding of the history of the mark. Oh well, I'll be there on Sunday just for laughs.

If your dad is looking for a clean '02 then he's in for a challenge. Rust is the killer, frame rails, shock towers, spare tire well, floor pans, doors etc. etc. I looked at a dozen cars before settling on mine. Need to get the car on a hoist and have someone qualified look at it. Don at Autotrend is a good guy and certified my car. Get a leak down test done as well to check valve seals and rings. Compression test is also key.

Yah my father has been looking for awhile

there's a decently clean one out here in London by my school. It just sits in a parking lot outside a garage (open to the public) with no plates, when I pulled up in my M3 to look at it the owner of the garage called me a little punk and told me to get off his property cuz im trespassing and that its five bucks to park there.

That ****ers getting a brick thru the window soon
The shop not the car

Anytime i see a classic Bimmer I give em the thumbs up

I've never ocne gotten a thumbs up from a new bimmer owner tho, I'd 99% of the new bimmer owners are either dicks or could care less about other BMW's
