E30 Carpet Cleaning

Finally got around to vacuuming and shampooing the carpet in my E30. It used to be a daily driver with lots of coffee stains and fries to show for it.

First vacuumed, then sprayed degreaser and let it soak in, next brushed the carpet with normal car wash soap in a bucket, and finally used a wet vac to suck it up.

My big mistake was not removing the gas pedal, I only found out after it's not hard to do. The area behind it is the worst and I couldn't get everything.

That looks really good! I have a beige interior in my E38, luckily the removable carpets weren't too bad and I was able to use some turtle wax carpet cleaner on it.

How long did you leave the in degreaser before vacuuming it up?

Thanks. Left it to soak in between 10-15 min before I started scrubbing the carpet with the shampoo.
