e36 M3 exhaust & Some stuff

My Rogue Engineering DMS Exhaust just arrived today and I just want to know who is interested in purchasing my slightly used 1999 e36 M3 exhaust. The previous owner had it replaced by the dealer I think about 65,000km so thats roughly 35,000+/-km of use. I will check later when I get home for the exact date. Please don't low ball me and I will not ship, local pickup only. PM me or post for your offers.

Jeff

SOLDOMATIC.. I am not sure entirely if it will give you any performance whatsoever. But, from what I hear its a step up from your stock exhaust and should bolt-on right away? Can anyone confirm this?

ya the M3 exhaust bolts on, adds maybe a nicer tone but not a noticable difference in power..

Kevin to tell you the truth, the M3 exhaust sounds similar to Nelson's Racing Dynamics. Only that the M3 OEM lacks the slighly deeper down at the low-end ranage that RD has.

It's a direct bolt on and and I don't think you'll get any performance gains from it. Then again for any other exhaust you get, although they say there are gains, it's not a big difference on NA cars. It's not like it's going to shave your time off at the auto-x or track sessions the circuit or drag strip. hehe, yes i know you already know this.

According to European Car's website with some sound clips of the exhaust shootout, the rouge sounds deeper and louder than the OEM. Let's just say it's somewhere inbetween an AA exhaust and B&B Triflow. I personally think Rouge Engineering's exhaust sounds similar to UUC's.

Actually the exhaust you're talking about is on the e36 328's.
There's a baffle plate on the right side of the exhaust tip which opens at around 3500rpm + and closes below that rpm range.

I used to unplug the vaccum tube which controls the opening of the baffle plate because it gives a nicer deeper tone at the lower rpm range where the plate is usually closed. hehe.

AHHH, ok, see i knew it was on A BMW, just wasn't sure which one!
So what it was ONLY on the 328's?!?! Why wouldn't the M's come with it also?!

From what I was told, I think they had the baffle plate installed for emisssion reasons and to reduce back presssure when it's closed, not 100% sure on the latter point.

Either way I don't like it, heh.

I think one of the Maxima's even had this feature but don't know which generation.
