Bilstein shock warranty.. questions

Has anyone sucessfully exchanged their busted Bilstein shocks/struts for good ones without a receipt? I remember quite a few of you on here have busted shocks but no receipt.

If anyone has been sucessful in doing so, please give me the proper procedure to follow or who I should contact.

I noticed on their website it says I have to tag the shock with a red tag before sending it in. What the heck does that mean? I assume this tag was included with the package or something?

Well i still have all the reciepts and papers that my coilovers came in and they have the same lifetime warrenty, and i din't get no red tag thing in the box!!
I would love to know the procedure as well in case my puppies ever bust a leak on me!

wait..so if my bro bought these bilstien sports for his car..when they go cuz he will have coilovers...he gets FREE replacements?!

Yep, because Bilstein and KONI both have lifetime warranty. It's one of the reasons why so many people buy them. It's only supposed to warrant the original purchaser which is why they require a receipt. I've heard about a few guys in the US who got it done without one. But I have no clue how they managed to do that.
