now you need to change the brake sensor as well. Once you see the light, you have to change the sensor.

Can you explain when the brake sensor activates and why it needs to be replaced once it goes off? I would like to replace my pads before this occurs. Thanks

The sensor goes off because the material on your brake pads are getting low, and as for replacing them once it goes off...dunno. Sensors are probably around the $15 to $20 range.

thanks all for the reply! i will change this during the next weekend.. any brand to recommand? i saw green stuff and red stuff everywhere.. worth the value ?

they have one in each wheel, or just one on the front or rear.. dunno

my bmw dealer is close for the moment.. the next one is 3hours in car.. i will fix this myself i think..
