I plan on getting the dynamat full trunk deadening kit. What can't I cover? Like when I lift the carpet I see some wingnuts, etc, and wonder what that leads to, etc.

Take the carpet crap off the inside trunk lid (you'll have to take off the tool kit if your car came with them too) and dynomat that whole piece with 2 layers and put the carpet cover thingy back on. That should usually be enough. You may have to add more dynomat but play a song with a lot of bass and come outside of your car and listen to what shakes and determine what could be shaking. Don't mistake it for your license plate rattling though. Anywhooz... good luck!
I'll give that a try, cause right now it just seems to be that middle area where the carpet/toolkit is. Was so nice to have some bass back in the car again.
