Tow Trucks exempted from HTA?

Have you ever seen a tow truck pulled over by a cop? It seems that they pretty much drive anywhere, at any speed, disregard any traffic signs, and no hassle.

I was cut off by two speeding tow trucks this morning on the 401, weaving in and out of traffic. One time I got a ticket in a provincial park for parking on the grass, yet you see tow trucks parked on the grass along the highways all the time.

I agree with you guys on how they think they own the road but also take into consideration they have to arrive at the scene fast to clear it up so they streets/ highways dont get too traficy.

my mom and her friend were coming back from work, and they were going through an intersection. . .it was green for them,
but some idiot in a tow truck was flying down the other street and he just went through the intersection without even stopping

and his light was red for who knows how long. . .

if they were there like a couple seconds earlier this idiot could have killed them
