Universal Body's?(pls read)

I have a 1988 325e (newly aquired) And I see body kits for 84-87 325e's and 89-91 325's but nothing for my year bimmer. My question is this, can I order body kits from the other years and have them fit my ride or am I S.O.L? Also this question applies for engine performance parts. Thank you. BTW this is my first bmw

it was probably made in 87.. and i think the early 88 cars are 87 design anyhow

It has a sticker that says" (2/88) 325/2 on inside driverside door jamb. It is an all original vehicle as well I know they exist as I have been doing research. But the other half of your post is very helpful as I have noticed that the body is the same as well. Thank you

Easy way to find out if your car is the old body style is the taillights. If your taillights are the narrow two square then it is the older style. Now if they are wider with three squares (like mine) then you have the newer one.

That is what my rearend looks like except I have a huge fromt and rear bumper set up.
