Removing speakers

How do i remove the rear premium sound speakers from an e30??? Is there any nuts that need to be removed?

um check inside your trunk where the speakers are located and see if the cover has any bolts holding it in place!

Terry get a flat screwdriver or a knife. Go to the back seat, try to pry off the cover(that metal mesh) and you will see all the screws holding rear speakers.

doesnt that plastic piece suppost to come off with that mesh if ur ganna pry off the mesh it will be all mangled!

No. The mesh thing is the metal piece. All he needs to is try not to strach it. The plastic and mesh are seperate

if you have the black plastic pod the screws are under the wire mesh..

you'll need a stubby philps screw driver,
a butter knife to pry off the grill,
2 rolls of duct tape,
a plasma cutter,
4 pork schnitzel
4 black forest ham steaks
2 cabbage for sourcrout

yeppers off come the mesh and then there are the four screws take them out and the plastic will come off then it is an easy 6.5" speaker install well my alpine s series were.

amen to that i hate 6x9's you gots to stick with round speakers because the speaker gets uneven when moving ddue to because the two 6" sides move faster then the two 9" sides.
