GSR vs. M3

I saw a stock 5-speed 95 'GSR take an 95' 5-speed M3 in a 1/4 mile. Is this right?

Either GSR was supercharged/NOS'ed/turbo'ed or M3 driver couldn't drive for shit.

Another possibility is if M3 was a slushy and convertable but even then it should not lose to a GSR.

Weird

thats crap, that should never ever happen, all I here at school is BS about GSr's and how they have 200 bhp and that they are soo fast and the best cars, and I just laugh. Know way they have that mush horse power, I read an article in SCC that said the GSR only has a little over 140 not 160+ that Acura claims, those stats from Honda are inflated

If it beat him 5 times in a row, its not stock, if the guy couldnt drive for shit, i mean all he really has to dew is gethte m3 into gear which is pretty straightforward and hit hte gas right????
No way a stock gsr is going to take an m3.. NO WAY EVER. he probably had major internal work that you could not see

That just sounds irresponsible.

The M3 should be the quicker of the cars. It also depends on state of tune. While both cars might be stock, if the M3 had a plugged up cat and poor maintenance anything is possible.

The GSR is good for 170+hp out of the box while the M3 should have 240hp. Stock to stock this should be a no-contest win for the M3.

I have raced a ITR at Cayuga with my ex 90 Jetta VR6 and I was able to beat the ITR every run by between 1-3 tenths. I know that the Jetta could not beat an stock M3.

My $0.02 - no change please...

Racing with 4 people in the car shows that you still need a lot of time to mature and grow up.

The only guy I know that can take an M3 is my friend Tony w/ a 12 sec GS-R. Its all motor too, I just want to see him run against Randy but Tony is too chicken. If you guys live in Richmond Hill or know DSC-R very well you will most likely know Tony. He is famous province wide.

Take a look at this very impressive video clip of his speedo...
