question about rims...

hey i know about how u need the right amount of lugs and right size of rim for it to fit the car/tire but i dont understand offset and spacers... can someone tell me about em?

Check out this link. It shows you a picture what and how offset is measured. Spacers are sometimes needed if the offset is still not proper and you need to clear your brakes from the wheels hitting. Hope the link helps.

sweet thanks
so basically offset is how far the surface of the curb side of the rim is to the middle of the wheel right? also how do spacers protect ur brakes? do they move the rim more so that theres a greater offset?
