So just because you don't want to smell like smoke, we should have to go stand outside?

Yup.
The majority of smokers that I know dont enjot smelling cigarette smoke while they eat. If they don't enjoy the smoke they make, what makes you think that those that dont smoke do.
I'm not trying to be a pain, I'm simply trying to make you understand that those that do not smoke find it really nasty.
I could handle smelling like smoke since you cant get away from it if you go to a bar. I don't actively choose to give myself lung cancer for no good reason other than to feed an addiction. I dont want other people giving me cancer either. It should be obvious to you by now that smoking serves no benefit whatsoever, and does nothing but harm the smoke and all those that surround them. But this is just my opinion, im sure most people would disagree with me...

Not quite sure which way to answer that question....
Since I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do enjoy a good cigar now and again....
And of course, I spent a year in Amsterdam one weekend.....
So, smoke cigarettes, NO. Smoke cigars and a few substances *less than legal*....yes.

hey i agree with harry on this,,,we shouldnt be able to smoke in public places like resturants,, but i think the only exceptions should be bars/clubs and coffee shops(or at least a smoking section) thats just my two cents,

I have never smoked. Nasty habbit! Saw my aunt die from lung cancer. Pretty sick.

I smoke and my girlfriend owns a restaurant so I know how this "meal and smoking" thing affects everyone. Personally, when eating, I don't want to smell smoke. But truthfully I don't beleive in the non-smoking at restaurants. I don't mean that we should have it like the way it was before, but rather leave it to the owner's discretion as to make it a completely non-smoking or comeletely smoking restaurant only. That way the ultimate choice is up to the consumer.

Since I collect cigars; I do smoke them on occassion. But due to the fact that I cannot buy most of my cigars back since I cannot source them, my non-smoking interval is getting longer and longer.
