RTAB tool

Look to borrow for a day or 2, correct tool to take out and install RTAB in e46.

I don't think Autozone or CT has the correct tool, just a puller.

Yes, they do have a kit, but it only works to press bushing in, to take old bushong out you will have to improvise. I just drilled out the old one and used ct rental kit topress one it. You need ball joint master kit for it.

Can't speak for the E46 directly, but for RTABs on the E30, I used threaded rod, a pipe cap with a hole drilled for the treaded rod and a short section of pipe.

FWD bearing puller at Partsource has a good selection of hardware that helps too, but wasn't long enough to handle the RTABs on the E30.

Thanks guys. I will pickup the ball joint master kit at autozone.

A lot of people trying to make money off of renting tools to members here. I thought we are here to help each other!?!?
