15" Basketweave fitment

I did a search but came up cold with this Q:

Contemplating putting 15" - 4 lug basket weaves on my '84 325e but before I made the "investment" I wanted to make sure that they will not cause any offset issues.

If I'm correct they came out on the IX models (all wheel drive). So wanted to verify track width/offset is not sooo different.

Thoughts??

Offset is different enough that you need to install spacers to make them fit properly; the ET: is 30 on 14" basket weaves and 41 on 15". I believe bottle caps are 33. you can put any e30 rim on an IX but you cant put an IX on e30 without spacers.

Thanks for the info.

The tyres on the rims are 205/55/15's so not to wide .... do you know what spacer would work? 5 mm, 10mm ???

Again - thx. for the info.

probably 10mm or more..to make sure the rim clears the strut as well as the tire.
