CTS-V...would you?

Sort of kicking tires here. Maybe a 2005. Muscle car appeal I guess. Anyone driven or owned one? How's the feel/handling compared to a 335 with a sport package?

Never driven either of those cars but hold out for an 08+ if you can foot the bill

Mark, we had an 06 CTS, just the 2.8vvt and 5spd auto with triptronic (would hold gears and up shift on you!!! )

Over all it was a great car, and defiantly would say the CTS is on par with the equivalent BMW chassis.

Big price jump going from the 05-07 to the 08 and newer, it was 10g more for the same mileage and option 08 compaired to the 06/07's we were looking at.

We did find the rear seat to small once the baby seat went in, so maybe the 08 and newer which is a lot bigger car may accommodate that issue

My friend just called me to see if I could get a cheap transmission for his and after googling some research they had a lot of problems and are not cheap to fix.

Yeah. Thinking of the 2005 with the Z06 engine and Tremec 6speed. 400 horses with muscle car soundtrack.

M5 competitor so would not be cheap to fix. But these held a record at the 'ring for a while. I'd love the newer wagon with a stick, but rare and expensive.

Aren't these cars comparable to the size of a 3 rather than a 5?

I know someone with one of those newer wagons...v6 & auto tho.... Pretty cool, but when we park side by side (touring), it's a tough call which is a better looking car. E39 still looks good, but more traditional and business/understated. ATS wagon looks kinda spacey.

I think you should get it... the V

Being a SB Chevy, I would imagine there are lots of engine upgrade options too.

It's the size of a 5 with ls motor with close to 400hp. I would definitely go with the 335i w the turbo's

I love my 335, but thinking of trying something different. The lure of that V8 exhaust note. 335 doesn't sound as nice. But it's so nimble. Wonder if the Caddy can dance the same way. I need a test drive.
