i was going to try and play the system but now that someone said drivers have to have 10 years exp, thats a wrench, i was going to put the car under my parents name because they both have dailys and are older, and i would just drive it, as the secondary, but thats not a possibility anymore

Not only is it not a possibility because you have to many cars in the household (1 per person) but you dont gain any experience in the eyes of the insurance company .. hence why its probably a bit high .. they look at you as a new driver. I was 17 and when I was already on my own car

Get used to it, you won't see a drop till your 24. I was paying that and more till I was 24, and we got full licences at 16.

If you want cheaper insurance, stay away from sport cars and classics, or get a job and get used to paying bills.

Look into group rates, either through work or school. When I was 20, it dropped the insurance on my e30 from $3200 to $2100/yr.

I got my E30 insurance through TD Meloche Monnex. Regular insurance, no collision or comp, $72.16 a month.

Screw you scam insurance companies!

For all the years I've paid this coverage I have almost tripled the value of my car.

Now they want to put black boxes in our cars to find ways to further increase peoples rates, regardless of accident/claim history.

I was quoted 900$ a year for the M roadster through hagerty, 2500$ deductible, full coverage.

Yep, when I had a fox notch and went to them they wouldn't ensure it. It was $6500, and they said $7500 is the minimum.

That seems odd seeing as if you do an on-line quote the tool only asks for a $3000 minimum value.
