WTB: 2002 turbo parts

Hey guys, I am very new to the BMW community and recently picked up a 1974 2002 turbo. I have also partnered with a collector who has 4 original numbers matching cars and would like to restore them as well.

We are looking for a few 2002 turbo parts to finish our projects.

All parts must be 1974 2002 Turbo only.

Steering wheel
Dashboard
Carpet
Door panels
Ash tray
Misc interior trim

If you have any genuine 2002 turbo parts give us a shout, we have quite a bit of work ahead of us and would love to get a head start by picking up whatever we can locally!

Thanks guys,

Chad Dugan

Here's a few pictures from before we started to tear them down, we have four identical 2002 turbos in white, one in polaris silver, and one 1969 2002. All of our 1974 chassis come from California and are rust free authentic turbos.

Very impressive! They must be the only real turbos in Ontario and you have 5 of them? Trying to corner the market?
I doubt if you will find much locally, but you should post on
www.bmw2002faq.com There are several turbo owners there who may be able to help you out.
Also, when can the local 2002 owners come to your shop for a visit?
There's a few of us.

Chad, I'm not 100 % certain about this, but some parts you mention, like ashtrays, carpet, door panels and misc trim, even dashboards are common to all square light cars. It's just the turbos had some different things like the red gauge surround, steering wheel and maybe an extra gauge cluster.
There is also a vendor named esty, http://estycarpet.blogspot.ca/p/gallery.html who posts on the faq who will custom make carpet kits, but I'm thinking the turbo mats are one piece molded, as were all the square light cars.

Thanks Tony, we did order a carpet kit from esty last year and may use him again this time if we can't find an OEM one piece. We haven't had much luck locally which was expected, but will continue to search online and keep our eyes open. We will be working with Maranello BMW this summer as well as participating in some cruises and possibly hosting our own meet/bbq later in the year.

Any more pictures?

I would particularly be interest in engine bay shots. Or any other pictures for that matter.

I would like to keep this thread open for anyone who may have 2002 items for sale, but will definitely start a dedicated thread of our progress on these cars.

Here is the engine bay of our Polaris silver turbo which is the closest of the 5 to come together.

We are still waiting on some items from Germany and the rest of the hardware to come back from CAD plating.

Buddy

Please don't take this the wrong way but there is no way you are going to find turbo parts on this board. Ever.

Okay we have decided to fix our dash, everything is removed and it still won't budge, I think we are going to have to remove the windshield to get at the 2 tops screws holding it down, any suggestions from anyone who has done this?
