Beware acp!!!!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a dealing i had with ACP today. Very disappointed. I needed an ignition switch for my e36. Since Alex has some used parts i called him to see if he had one and he did. I paid his asking price. He said if i had any problems to let him know. I take my car apart to replace it and find out it is the incorrect switch for my car. I call several times to no avail. Finally call and get through and i explain the situation. He has no idea of what i was talking about (how reassuring, i thought he was a bmw expert) and asks to send pictures. I do so and ask him to call me back. 4+ hours roll by (my car still apart) no answer from him so i call him back. He says hes too busy to talk call you later. I said the part you sold me (never installed) is incorrect for my car. He said it was my problem and would not refund the money since he didn't have the correct switch. Not the right answer i wanted to hear. He wasn't too concerned about screwing me over!!!!

!!!BEWARE!!!! Will never deal with again! it's not the money it is the principal.

Found another local source who had the correct switch. All is good now with the bimmer.

Hey Mike_G,
in response to your thread.
I thought you were the master mechanic BMW specialist around here????
You obviously know nothing about them, otherwise you would have known that there is a very slight difference in the parts. there was nothing wrong with it, just didn't work for you. Therefore I didn't screw you around, and I was not ignoring you I'm just busy. Too busy in fact unlike you to have the time to go to a public forum and whine. I take good care of my customers and I pride myself in running an honest shop. Just because you and I had a misunderstanding does not make ACP a bad shop. You're just pissed and are being a girl about it and bad mouthing me which I DO NOT take lightly!!!!!!!
So maybe now let me go dig up some crap about you which I'm sure there's a lot of and make that public!

Oh and Transporter.....A...s...s..h...o....l....e... You come try that approach with me and see how far that gets you!!!

Acp

Folks,

Just wanted to chime in and say that I have personally dealt with ACP and have found them great to deal with.

ACP has been great to deal with, and I will continue to deal with them. Before you comment get the facts.

That's great and all, but to have someone who owns a business and claims to be a professional but write replies like they did in this thread shows that he have absolutely no remorse what so ever to basically telling a customer to take a hike over a USED part! USED!

Mistakes were made and possible on both sides, but if you have any sort of business sense you would help to make the situation right instead of trying to retaliate on an open web forum with a POS attitude.

So regardless of your experiences with them, he basically just screwed himself over.
